I think Tony was going offline just as I commented ... so let me fill you in.

2. Melksham, Ribblehead, Lake, Outwood, Yate
are stations opened in 1985, 1986, 1987, 1988 and 1989

5. 05:43, 07:00, 07:31, 09:44, 13:44
are successive departures from Stan Drew's Road to Severn Beach on a Monday to Friday

I'm trying to remember if I have the first two elements of that series the right way round ... but, no, not Taunton.  I was actually in Taunton the day after I was last in the place that's the answer to this series, but pictures from that Taunton visit are being kept "special reserve" for the other kid of quiz!

Is #1 related to postcodes?

I was wondering about that - E8 3DL is Dalston Junction, but that's as far as I got...

I thought it was more a question of whether Torquay and Southport should both be in the sequence - ?

You are thinking along a right principle, though not a right line.

Only Connect from Sunday.  5 solves, 2 to go.

The solved ones ...

2. Melksham, Ribblehead, Lake, Outwood, Yate
Stations opened in 1985, 1986, 1987 ...

3. 800, 387, 166, 150, 153
Train classes that can be 5, 4, 2, 3, 1 carriages long

4. Adams, Rix, Brady, Norman, Whelan
ASLEF» (Associated Society of Locomotive Engineers and Firemen - about) general secretaries in order

5. 05:43, 07:00, 07:31, 09:44, 13:44
Train departure times from St Andrew's Road to Severn Beach on a Monday through Friday

7. 737, 30586, 42968, 53808, 92220
Locomotive numbers - examples of types 2-2-0, 2-4-0, 2-6-0, 2-8-0 and 2-10-0

Still to work out ...

1. 2BP, 2NN, 3DS, 3DL

6. Scarborough, Torquay, Southport, Derby

Clue ... both relate to ACoRP (Association of Community Rail Partnerships) in some way ... one to one of their greatly successful members, and the other where members might meet to celebrate success.

Car parking for under a fiver?

I watch Just Connect occasionally, although I value Ms C-M's brother's output more highly. On another game show, I once got aroused when watching Lisa Riley on Countdown. One of the contestants got caroused, though, so beat me.

Lisa Riley? The former 'Emmerdale' actress and 'You've Been Framed' presenter?
