A friend wants to take a photo of an IET (Intercity Express Train - replacement for HSTs (manufactured by Hitachi in Kobe, Japan)) at Westbury Station on Friday.   Has anyone got the data available of which trains are likely to be IETs and which will still be HSTs (High Speed Train (Inter City class 43 125 units))?

Looking at the Westbury stoppers on the Paddington to Westbury / Frome / Taunton and beyond runs. And I suspect daylight hours please!

In the down direction in daylight this Friday:

1200 to Paignton IET
1355 to Taunton HST (High Speed Train (Inter City class 43 125 units))
(dusk 1627 to Penzance IET)

In the up direction in daylight (all to Paddington):

(dawn 0752 IET)
1001 IET
1105 HST
1327 IET
1504 HST
(dusk 1614 HST)

E&OE. Subject to operational needs.

I'm guessing said friend's plans have been kyboshed by Network Rail.  Roll Eyes

Those times should be good for any weekday next week though.

He's asking about Sunday  Grin Grin

Appreciate times for next week - if you can easily tell for Sunday, that would also be appreciated and I will add "check ahead" I have also suggested he join the Coffee Shop  Cheesy

Sunday diagrams are notoriously difficult to pin down.

Sunday diagrams are notoriously difficult to pin down.

The following two* should be:

09.40 - 1A77
10:24 - 1C76

Couldn't see any others in the hours of daylight, though there may be more.

* Based on issued STP drivers diagrams for this Sunday
