Whilst out & about today spied an 8-car Voyager service approaching Exeter from the south. Looking at the 'Tiger' info it was obviously the 1S53 Plymouth > Edinburgh.
Curious to know if this is a one-off or regular consist; 'double' Voyagers frequently appear on summer Saturday services but I've never seen one at this time of year before.

Often run on Sundays...

But I don't think I've heard of them weekdays...Sure it was in service?

btw - your post timed at 1554, you say 'approaching Exeter'....how could it have left PLY» (Plymouth - next trains) at 1553? HS4?

From XC (Cross Country Trains (franchise)) JourneyCheck:
Quote
13:25 Plymouth to Edinburgh due 22:13

Facilities on the 13:25 Plymouth to Edinburgh due 22:13.
Will be formed of 8 coaches between Plymouth and Newcastle.

Further Information
MULTIPLE VOYAGER FORMATION:

4 coaches then form 5E53 to Tyne depot. Looking back over the last few days on RTT» (Real Time Trains - website) this would seem to be a regular weekday occurrence.

Just as well - otherwise CrossCountry would have 10 trains departing Plymouth, one every 2 minutes between 15:37 and 15:55!  Wink

Glad someone else has seen this 2 x4 weekday Voyager, I had to mentally check what day it was when I first saw it...
