"And no buffet car/restaurant west of Plymouth"

We now have no buffet car on any part of any service, how is that for progress ?
The Pullman restaurant is excellent, but is available on fewer services than in the past and not west of Plymouth. So no improvement there.

Broadgage, I knew you would bite (pun intended).

On an allied subject.  The last HST (High Speed Train (Inter City class 43 125 units)) Pullman restaurant leaves Paddington at 13:03 tomorrow.  It is fully booked.

William Huskisson MP (Member of Parliament, or Mile Post (a method of measuring the railway in miles and chains from a starting point - usually London), depending on context) was the first person to be killed by a train while crossing the tracks, in 1830.  Many more have died in the same way since then.  Don't take a chance: Stop, Look, Listen.

"Level crossings are safe, unless they are used in an unsafe manner."  Discuss.

Had the day working at the Brunel Quays residential estate, adjacent to the mainline at Lostwithiel Station yesterday, the first time I have done so for a while.  Spending all day working in the gardens next to the line, the enhanced frequency of services was very evident as was the diverse range of rolling stock working the route.

Well done GWR (Great Western Railway) and CC for making that happen.
