We have lots of lovely places across the South West .... here are a few.   Can you place them?

Although some of these pictures are iconic, this post is "The West - but NOT the West's trains" and past form suggests that pictures taken away from our stations can stick around un-identified for a remarkably long time.  Let's see how you do on these

1.  College Green, Bristol with Bristol Cathedral and, to the right, the Council House in the background. Picture taken from Park St. - ellendune

2. The animal wall at Cardiff Castle. - Celestial

3. Broad St, Reading - Surrey 455

4. Bath by Pultney Bridge - Reginald25

5. The Great Western Hotel, Station Approach, Taunton - stuving

6. Exeter - old original

7. Seaton - Reginald25

8. Trowbridge - Rob on the hill

9. Chippenham high street - Reginald25

10. Corfe Castle - Red Squirrel

I can identify 3 photos (I think) but I'll just suggest the one.

Lots of good answers and impressively fast.

No. 7 is not Penarth, though, and number 8 is not Salisbury. And no. 10 still to identify.

I have 'cut in' all the correct answers, with credits, to the original post.

8. Trowbridge.

Aha! 10 is the very lovely Corfe Castle.

And all those three correct - so the whole quiz in record time!
