A cynic like me would suspect that the money is intended for signage, publicity campaigns, and the like and not for significant actual physical works like lifts.
No mention of signage in the press release.

IMHO▸ the more stations that are modified, and the quicker they are done, the better. Though Worcester Shrub Hill is one successful candidates from the
CP5▸ list where the work has yet to commence.
