I'm not sure where any of them are but I do like no. 4. I could have a silly guess and say it's somewhere on "the curlew line" but AFAIK ('as far as I know'), unlike avocet and bittern, there isn't one.

3 reminds me very much of a trip to Ventnor on the Isle of Wight but can’t find anything on line to substantiate that.

All 3 correct.  Sadly, No. 3 isn't Ventnor, nor can I imagine more than 2,500 of our 60 million passing this spot on their way to the Isle of Wight.
