Photo 3 is a cat. Texture-wise, cats tend to be rather furry.

1 is a bench

5. is a very decrepit bicycle. I suspect it's the last one beside the marked footpath outside Melksham station, just before it enters the platform. Obviously its meaning is "cyclists keep off the footpath".

6. Is the tactile marking near the edge of a railway platform.  I hope you don't expect us to name which one!

Or does it only apply to decrepit cyclists, those riding decrepit bicycles?

I'm not sure how much I intended this to be a "formal" quiz ... some pretty impossible questions!   All taken yesterday morning at or around Melksham Station, and all features identified correctly so far.

Each time I look at that, the eye/brain's interpretation is the "inside out" reverse 3D one - some kind of mysterious pigeon-holes. That doesn't make convincing sense, but it takes a while to flip to the right 3D model. Even knowing what it is, that's still true.

1 is not just a bench, it's a bl**dy cold bench - in the winter I'd rather stand

No. 6 is tactile marking specifically for proximity to a railway. The dots are hexagonally packed (offset) rather than square (inline) ones that you will find at a dropped kerb on the roadside. We had two deliveries of the latter type for our platform 4 construction at Princes Risborough returned to the supplier before the correctly textured railway ones - that we specifically ordered - were delivered.

8 is salt on tarmac - to avoid it icing up.
