Update - event announcement at http://www.passenger.chat/25530

As confirmed as anything at the moment  Grin - subject to health and safety of members (first and foremost) and also conforming to rules and regulations from Boris, Javid and their advisors.

Coffee Shop AGM (Annual General Meeting), plus guest speaker who has confirmed his availability. Didcot, afternoon of 16th October 2021. Checking with venue over next few days (and will come back and edit this post) - first choice is the hall we have used before; should be able to Zoom or at least broadcast from there.

This is one for your diary ... no common or garden AGM ...

Edit to add - venue confirmed as All Saints Youth and Community Centre, Didcot - a short walk from the station

Please don’t edit the post above - edits don’t generate an alert that the thread has had activity/a new post - whereas a further post will. There’s a danger that an edit will not be noticed.

Chris, I fully intend to do both - adding a follow up to "bump" the thread / event to the top, and edit the top-of-thread post so that anyone arriving via the calendar or top-of-thread will get current, accurate information.

Our AGM (Annual General Meeting) and guest speaker are now CONFIRMED for the afternoon of Saturday, 16th October 2021 at All Saints Youth and Community Hall in Didcot.   We hope that the AGM itself is not a long event, but the speaker(s) and other opportunities while you're in the Didcot area will make the trip worthwhile.  I am noting that the Didcot Railway Centre has its last Autumn Steaming weekend of the year that day - and there should be the opportunity for members to visit there (I think you need to prebook) prior to the AGM.

I am NOT seeing anything running that day on the Cholsey and Wallingford line - though current restrictions there say "all journeys must start and end at Wallingford" which would be problematic

If you're looking for something to put into your diary app, probably doors open at 14:00 / AGM (Annual General Meeting) commences 14:30.
