Ah!

Thanks for the help everyone - copy now in the member's archive ((here)) and it will come up in the deep search content.  The copy is somewhat smaller than ChrisB's reported one which I suspect is print-ready rather than web - sorry, ChrisB, I suspect my limit on email is 8 Mbytes

I've just dug out this 2022 report into options for improving Westerleigh Jct - makes quite interesting reading.

It lists four options for three or four-tracking between Coalpit Heat and Westerleigh. One of these - a full grade-separated four-tracked junction - is ruled out. But three others, any of which would be a big improvement (guess which is my favourite!) are still in the running; one for further investigation and two for further progression:
