Facebook users - I have been experimenting with the Coffee Shop feed over there - if you visit https://www.facebook.com/CoffeeShopCRP/posts/3062520043995094 you should see one of the "then and now" images and not the disruption map which normally appears there whatever post is shared.  I HAVE had a report of it not working for someone, so a quick flick through to test by one or two members would be appreciated!  Thanks

6.  The daggerboards look to have been trimmed over the trains.  Have trains got bigger since steam days?  I suppose I ought to say Basingstoke.

10. I'm pretty sure is Newport, with that shiny new spaceship looking a lot less new and shiny from platform level. But where the "before" picture is I've no idea, other than not the same place and not the same direction.

I believe so. Never been there, but it featured in a fairly recent TV▸ (Thames Valley, or TeleVision, depending on context) series, "abandoned engineering" I think.

A proper intercity train has a minimum of 8 coaches, gangwayed throughout, with first at one end, and a full sized buffet car between first and standard.
It has space for cycles, surfboards,luggage etc.
A 5 car DMU▸ (Diesel Multiple Unit) is not a proper inter-city train. The 5+5 and 9 car DMUs are almost as bad.
