I was at Sandy Park watching the rugby when the Devon Air Ambulance arrived a short distance to the west of the stadium at around 1500. It departed around 30-40 minutes later in the direction of it's base at Exeter Airport so I guess wasn't required. At the end of the match, c.1615, there was a stadium PA (Public Address (broadcast loudspeaker announcements) or Passenger Assist (railway staff providing physical assistance to passengers with mobility issues), depending on context) announcement that the Exmouth service was suspended. My walk home takes me over the Apple Lane Path overbridge from which could be seen a group of hi-vis clad personnel on the line close to or at Newcourt station. Local reporting https://www.devonlive.com/news/devon-news/exeter-railway-person-hit-emergency-8060558 confirms the incident but gives little information regarding the circumstances. RTT» (Real Time Trains - website) shows 2F13 arriving at EXM essentially on time at 1451 but the unit not departing until 1723 as 2E26.
