Although, yes, they don't see to be very well organised with too many long journeys. But thats the way it works. I doubt 4 HSTs are needed for

PAD» and return. The set to Plymouth would also appear to be due to maintenance. 1A82 (0600
PLY» -PAD) is also probably the least slacky of FGWs trains. Does the journey in 3 hours calling Newton A, Exeter SD, Taunton, Reading and Paddington so could do with the reduced weight.
