In terms of the survey, to get an official response perhaps you should ask GWR▸ directly? Or Graham could ask them directly on behalf of the forum.
That makes some sense to me.
If you recall, GWR did ask the question of their stakeholders (and you posted a thread on here, Graham about that) last summer as to whether we thought that there was any demand. That was apropos going to the
DfT» with this evidence for clearance. Obviously,
NR» would have flagged the Paddington closure & either GWR felt with it closed, thee was little point, and/or the DfT refused to cover the costs.
