Leven, Fife, Scotland, fast forward a month

Timetable for Sunday 2nd June from Realtime trains. First day of service, Sunday service is broadly hourly into Edinburgh, journey time a little over an hour.

First day of service, 2nd June, and here's footage of the first train departure from Leven. Scotrail have found six carriages for the first day of service, the station's two platforms can accept eight.

The train is diesel, but the new line has passive provision for electrification including bases for masts for its entire length.

It's useful (though not cheering) to compare and contrast with Portishead.
