Hi, does anyone think the cost of walk-on tickets is getting too expensive now?  The Anytime return fare from Newton Abbot to Paddington is quite simply ridiculous at ^202.  The off peak fare has jumped from ^49 to ^63 in less than a year due to the scrapping of the Super Saver ticket.

We use Warminster to Waterloo quite regularly. Since the "fares simplification" the lowest fare available has actually gone down very slightly.
However before simplification, you could get the lowest fare up to 1800 the day before - not any more; you are very lucky if you can get the lowest fare within 10 days of travel now.
