Hmm ...  Embarrassed

Is it an acrostic?

William Huskisson MP (Member of Parliament, or Mile Post (a method of measuring the railway in miles and chains from a starting point - usually London), depending on context) was the first person to be killed by a train while crossing the tracks, in 1830.  Many more have died in the same way since then.  Don't take a chance: Stop, Look, Listen.

"Level crossings are safe, unless they are used in an unsafe manner."  Discuss.

Yes, if you consider it downtic too

I could have sworn that Melksham hadn't even made it to the initial table (though it could have been there in place of Montpelier).   Isn't it fun what you can do (especially you, TJ) with anagrams!

Think "magic" ... and it's a square

I think I have made this too obscure.  How many passenger platforms are there at each of these places? (Goodness - I hope I got them right!)

Do the number of platforms make up a Sodoku square?

Didn't spot that! How long did it take for you to make this? Or did you use a pre square template?

I knew they existing / the principle, and I used Google which took me here.  Bit of manipulation (you can add on / take the same number off all elements and the table remains magic.

Biggest job was finding stations with some of the higher numbers of platforms ... is there anywhere in FGW (First Great Western) territory with 8?
