I suspect you may be right. I was thinking it must include timing for a sleeper journey because it spans two days. |

Nope ... the journey is all within FGW▸ land, but this is very much "lighter side" ... no serious point about 'what a lousy service connection those places' because I would Imagine journeys from "A" to "B" (and there is no clue in those letters) are as rare as a six legged horse! Salisbury -> Melksham ... 06:04 and 18:41 as I recall, arriving 07:17 and 19:47. Return at 06:40 and 19:11, arriving at about 07:30 and 20:10. |

The duration is about right ... but I can't think of anywhere that the service would be THAT infrequent in the wos area. Combe, Charlbury, Oxford, Reading, Liskeard, Coombe

i cant comment on other toc's publications however unless its been edited as a cheat or the colour has ran fgw does not use this colour scheme on its timetables....
it may be a crosscountry timetable i do have one in front of me, i cant really be bothered to read all 51 pages....wow xc does at seat food service, talk about dressing up

It is from the South West Trains website's personal timetable service, emailed to me approx 5 minutes before I posted it. It has been photoshopped only to remove the "Coombe to Combe" text, and shows a weekday dor the middle of next month. I use the South West Trains personal timetable service because it provides a "whole day" option, giving a practical way of getting a timetable for journeys to and from stations / on lines where the population is too small for the local TOC▸ to provide a decent service, such as the Swindon - Chippenham - Melksham - Trowbridge - Westbury service, with no departures between 06:15 and 18:45. On such lines, personal timetables that offer a 4 hour (or even half day) option as their widest range are near-useless as you have to know what sort of time the train actually runs in order to ask at what time the train actually runs  |
