As far as First Great Western is concerned, I can arrive in London at 0900 (or even earlier!), have a travelcard so I can see the sights, and return after 7pm for only ^65 on a Super Saver Return!!

Thats only ^118 cheaper than what I should be paying...

Why do people keep using this phrase ?  Surely what you should be paying is whatever you can get, at whatever price, to achieve your travel aim   Huh

The man from FGW (First Great Western) would doubtless say that you should be paying ^183 !

Yes, because its an error of the system. The real fare is ^183. It just so happens that the SSR Travelcard does not have any morning restrictions (erroneously)

The TM (Train Manager, or Ticket Machine, or Temple Meads (Bristol), depending on context) is likely to raise an eyebrow, however if you are sold this fare, they can't do anything so long as you have adequate evidence.

Use it or loose it  Cheesy

Every so often the LM (London Midland - recent franchise) website goes haywire, and you can buy the ^15 Super Off Peak LM fare for travel on VT (Virgin Trains - former franchise (or, possibly, in a France context, Versement Transport - a payroll tax on employers to fund local transport) ) in the morning rush hour.

Hmmm, I don't think I'm brave enough to try that on!!!

No longer available. Shame!

How is that FGW (First Great Western) can rectify an error that financially disadvantages them in a matter of hours, yet when a pricing error is overcharging passengers (Severn Beach Line railcard discounts) it takes them 6 weeks to fix?
