The 1638 SX Weston-Bristol will depart 1635 and go forward from Bristol as the 1710 SX Bristol Temple Meads - Bristol Parkway; and
To enhance capacity from Filton and to avoid the requirement for an attachment at Bristol Temple Meads onto the 1630 SX Cardiff Central ^Portsmouth,as well as providing a better evening peak service to Warminster, a package of changes has been developed:
^ the retimed 1645 SX Bristol Parkway-Westbury ceases to call at Keynsham, Freshford & Avoncliffe and on arrival at Westbury is extended to Warminster calling Dilton Marsh. The set then returns as an additional service from Warminster;
^ an additional 1655 SX Filton Abbey Wood -Westbury will run calling all stations except Bradford-on-Avon; and
^ the 1630 SX Cardiff Central -Portsmouth will ceaseto attach a portion at Bristol Temple Meads.

People from Bradford-on-Avon who would like to travel on this train will need to spend 20 minutes walking along the canal to Avoncliff!

Without seeing exact timings I think BoA^» (Bradford-on-Avon - next trains) may actually be getting an enhanced service if the 1645 is actually faster than before, and anything to take the pressure off the 1722 from BTM^▸ (Bristol Temple Meads (strictly, it should be BRI) but BTM is a commonly used alternative)) has to be a good idea.

Both these services have to run just ahead of the 1709 from Filton so will have to be fairly quick out to West Wilts, as it is the xx09 is frequently held at Freshford waiting for the next section to clear. It will be interesting to see how peoples habits change.

Now all they have to do is to give similar stopping patterns and timings for a couple in the opposite direction in the morning peak, I'll not hold my breath though.
