xmas comes early for truro late night shoppers

most of the passengers going to truro late night shopping tonight must have thought xmas had come early! no gate line or rpis just a total free forall. 17.37 from penzance overloaded with scrotes from hayle camborne and redruth . last year everyone had to have a ticket or else.

It is extremely rare that you will be asked for a ticket between Penzance and Truro unless you're on one of those 2 carriage trains.  In the return direction, you'll be asked probably once out of every 20 trips, but you'll probably have to stand anyway because of all the rubbish.

Between Penzance and Plymouth on a weekday, there are more HST^▸ (High Speed Train (Inter City class 43 125 units)) operated services by FGW^▸ (First Great Western) than services operated by units.
There are:
4 trains operated by XC^▸ (Cross Country Trains (franchise)) in each direction
FGW services in each direction
10 HST services
1 Loco hauled (Sleeper FYI^▸ (for your information) thetrout)
7 operated by units
That means that the majority of services in Cornwall are operated by intercity quality stock.
I am not sure whether a Voyager is up to intercity standard. The longest journey I have ever had to endure was to Bristol Temple Meads.

Regarding your comments about rubbish on the trains. It does not really matter what company you travel with, it depends on the passengers who have been on the train. I have been on FGW,XC and previously VT^▸ (Virgin Trains - former franchise (or, possibly, in a France context, Versement Transport - a payroll tax on employers to fund local transport) ) that have all needed a good clean.

to be honest and to back him up.... fgw trains are usually very clean however newton abbot onwards does tend to accumulate alot of rubish left on the train and not put in bins provided.... but nothing excessive or that is left there for days, its just one of those things, some simpletons dont tidy up afterthemselfs i once saw a youngish mum (early 30's) with two daughters one was about 10 the other was around 14/15 and she managed to down 5 cans of carling and a pizza between totnes and plym where she got off, her rubbish didnt... her poor kids this was only at like 11am

Whats the Loco Hauled Working...??! I thought it was only CDF^» (Cardiff - next trains) - TAU^» (Taunton - next trains) that had Loco Hauled...??!

if you don't like them DON'T GET ON THEM!!!! i'm sure our poor little 150's think just as highly of all the scumbags that travel on them for free in Cornwall! As for litter, the voyagers are the worst as they now get no on train cleaning west of Exeter, the FGW HST^▸ (High Speed Train (Inter City class 43 125 units))'s are cleaned between Ply-Exd on most Cornish services.

As for ticket checking, won't matter next september when ticket barriers are installed at Truro, all the Cambornites will have to start selling the big issue to actually buy a train ticket to get to Truro crown court every week.
