The Telegraph also have the story of her Maj slumming it (any comps in 1st?) on FCC (First Capital Connect), with some video footage.

I see most of the papers have quoted the First anytime single fare, but surely she must have a railcard?   Grin

I wonder if that train ran under the reporting number "1X01" or whatever is used for the royal train these days... If it did then the signallers would have made damn sure not to delay it if at all possible!

William Huskisson MP (Member of Parliament, or Mile Post (a method of measuring the railway in miles and chains from a starting point - usually London), depending on context) was the first person to be killed by a train while crossing the tracks, in 1830.  Many more have died in the same way since then.  Don't take a chance: Stop, Look, Listen.

"Level crossings are safe, unless they are used in an unsafe manner."  Discuss.
