Judging from the logos, it's a joint facility for Amtrak and Greyhound. Can't think of any equivalent to that over here.

Meanwhile, can anyone enlighten me about what the Americans mean by "two platforms and 4 pockets"?

More seriously, that station in St Louis MO doesn't look too bad compared to some other horrors I've seen here. North Philadelphia, for example - a station in a murderous area of the city that looks from the outside as if to all intents and purposes it's been abandoned, and yet has frequent commuter train service as well as a few Amtrak departures every day.
