Thanks, Ollie. Same confirmed by email from ATOC» (Association of Train Operating Companies see - here). Amazed by the quick response from them - 20 minutes!!

Looks like I'll have to convinced my friend to fork out ^3 for an Oyster▸ (Smartcard system used by passengers on Transport for London services) Card.

From 26th June to 25th July different train operating companies have a special offer running which allows owners of a Oyster▸ (Smartcard system used by passengers on Transport for London services) card or a Freedom pass discounted train tickets. The discount is for Off-Peak Return Tickets from London terminus stations. Prices start from just ^5 return. Destinations include Bath, Bristol, Weston-super-Mare, Eastbourne, Brighton and much more.

To claim this offer and to see all the destinations and prices visit www.daysoutguide.co.uk/oyster and simply enter your Oyster card or Freedom pass number then simply print out a voucher.

William Huskisson MP▸ (Member of Parliament, or Mile Post (a method of measuring the railway in miles and chains from a starting point - usually London), depending on context) was the first person to be killed by a train while crossing the tracks, in 1830.  Many more have died in the same way since then.  Don't take a chance: Stop, Look, Listen.

"Level crossings are safe, unless they are used in an unsafe manner."  Discuss.
