The moderation / admin team is delighted to welcome BigNoseMac as a moderator here at "The Coffee Shop".   You may have noticed that he's been doing sterling work already helping with our newsfeed threads - and he's very much become the helpful guide here that makes for a member of our team who - for the most part - steer but just occasionally have to be a little stronger.

I'm looking forward to meeting BigNoseMac in person in a couple of weeks time - you may have seen a "lighter side" post about a Thames walk on 21st August, and it looks like that's going to be rather more than just an idea ... other posts to follow shortly, and walking boots to be gotten out and polished.

BigNoseMac has decided to step down from his moderation role here, and resume his ordinary / regular membership under which he'll complete the current prize quiz, and (I hope) post on some of the topics about which he knows so much in the future.   I can't believe it's almost five years since he joined the CoffeeShop moderation team, and I would like to thank him for all the work he's done it that role - it's an often thankless task, but hugely appreciated by myself and indeed the rest of the admin and moderation team.

grahame is right in that it can be a thankless task. Recent weeks particularly so dealing with... No. Best stop there. 

I shall steadfastly remain both critical and praising of FGW^▸ (First Great Western)/GWR, where and whenever I feel it is warranted. I fully intend to continue being informative, flippant, pedantic, and, occasionally, just plain silly.

I'll continue to ensure correct information is given to the readership and won't shirk from challenging those (within forum rules) who post wibble.
