Huge savings to be had on first class CrossCountry travel come January. For those making the popular first class journey from Newquay to Kyle of Lochalsh the price of an Anytime Return has been slashed from ^1002  Shocked to just ^640  Grin a massive saving of just over 36%.
Anyone wanting to take advantage of this attractive reduced fare just let me know, I'll split my commission with you and give you an extra 2.5% off the price, reducing it to just ^624! Roll up, roll up!

Er.... The Newquay to Kyle of Lochalsh First Class Anytime Return (Any Permitted) dropped from ^1068 to ^640 back in May, at least according to NFM06.

Not sure where you are getting the figure ^1002 from and you're surely not referring to a STD Anytime Return, are you?

Not to worry rts. We all make the odd boo-boo from time to time. I've more than once fupped up with my moderation. Just ask chris from nailsea.

I'll leave the thread as it is. After all it does highlight that train fares can go down as well as up!  Wink

In view of the rather jovial tone of this topic, I've moved it from 'fare's fair' to 'the lighter side' ...  Wink Cheesy Grin

William Huskisson MP (Member of Parliament, or Mile Post (a method of measuring the railway in miles and chains from a starting point - usually London), depending on context) was the first person to be killed by a train while crossing the tracks, in 1830.  Many more have died in the same way since then.  Don't take a chance: Stop, Look, Listen.
