BRITISH TRANSPORT POLICE APPEAL FOR INFORMATION FOLLOWING THEFT OF LUGGAGE FROM A TRAIN BETWEEN BRISTOL AND NEWPORT
BTP officers are appealing for the public^s help to identify a man they would like to speak to in connection with the theft of a passenger^s property from a train between Bristol Temple Meads and Newport railway stations.
Officers have today released a CCTV▸ image of a man they believe will have information which can assist their enquiries into the incident which took place on Thursday 30 December 2010.
Detective Inspector Mark Cleland, investigating officer, said: ^The victim boarded the 11.54am Bristol Temple Meads to Cardiff Central service and placed his suitcase in the luggage rack towards the front of the train. However, when he went to get his case, he discovered it was missing from the luggage racks.
^Officers have viewed CCTV footage and would now like to trace and speak to the man in this photograph about the incident. We believe he boarded the train and Bristol Temple Meads and alighted at Newport at about 12.30pm. Anyone who recognises him, or who knows his whereabouts, is asked to contact BTP straight away.^
