What a nightmare this afternoon for those affected.

I was lucky as the 17:06 I was on, was one of the first trains to go through after they cleared the line, so I was only delayed by 10 mins. When I reached Theale there were loads of people waiting for the bus replacement.

To FGW (First Great Western) credit they had staff at what is not normally manned station on hand to help.

My understanding was it was a freight train. Ok so these things happen but it just seems to be one thing after another in the last month.

It has been known for a few weeks that won't start for many months yet, so certainly not.
