Yes, Hampton Loade. Suppose the clue gave it away, but I couldn't think of a better one, let alone a cryptic!

For number 3 - one of the Train Verde with a guess you travelled in the North of the Island and the picture was taken somewhere between Nulvi and Palua.

Near enough!

Photo is the Old Time Train to Gallura, from Arzachena to Tempio Pausania at the half way stop at the Lake Liscia.

Now just the near Cardiff photo to sort out!

Are we sure it's definitely Cardiff? It almost looks like the view from the right-hand side of a train heading into Swansea from the east, as you cross over the Towy with the White Rock stadium on the left. Although that wouldn't really qualify as outside FGW (First Great Western) territory in my book.

Indeed it is taken from a flat in Cardiff Bay, the line is the one to Penarth.

Here's the next four:

The third one looks like a northern mill town. Huddersfield?

Southfields.   Cheesy

In true railway tradition, Wimbledon and Wimbledon Park are not near the tennis...  Shocked

Kidderminster and Southfields correct. Glad to see someone fell into the Wimbledon trap (why I blacked out the TfL» (Transport for London - about) signs and advert).

PS: The reason the pics are labelled differently, is that I've changed the order I've uploaded them (to avoid having two SVR pics in one bloc).

No.5 looks vaguely Italian but I don't really have the first clue where it might be.

The viaduct to the right of number 6 is making me start to wonder if it might be Durham although that's a bit of a long shot - think I can see OLE (Overhead Line Equipment, more often "OHLE") on the bridge though. Which might make it somewhere in the Aire Valley if I'm barking up the wrong tree.

Durham correct - taken from the cathedral tower.

But not Italy.
