A snapshot ... taking a look at yesterday to see how the Coffee Shop is doing.

1017 user sessions of which 977 were from within the UK (United Kingdom) - and here's how Google Analytics thinks they were spread:

352 of the 977 were new users. 50 users were on their second visit, 27 on their third, 22 on their fourth ... 311 of the users were making their 201st or higher numbered visit.

The average number of pages loaded per visit was between 5 and 6, with first time visitors looking at an average of 3 pages in their session, and our 200+ club members averaging between 7 and 8 pages.

Server performance ...

And that looks like we've not been experiencing any load problems in the last few days.    The yellow curve with its spikes is 4 days ago and relates to issues described {here}, and the big orange spike last night was a major system backup that I scheduled.

I would be interested how many sessions came from Norway and whether they were visitors or members. Also whether or not if the same IP Address has several sessions.

I have a hunch that these sessions *may* be UK (United Kingdom) members and/or visitors

In the last month, 7 out of 30,183 sessions came from Norway.  They were all new / different / unlinked sessions, and in every case just one page was viewed. 3 were from the Oslo area, 2 from Hordaland and 1 each from Akershus and Oppland.

I would describe the Norwegian visits as a fairly typical light scatter / nothing really surprising or odd to me. Sweden, Denmark, Mexico, New Zealand, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Greece and Portugal all have very similar patterns; the total country list for the last month was 81 entries long, and included one line "not set" which accounted for 19 visits / 17 new users.

The norwegian sessions have the characteristics of search engine arrivals where the person either gets straight to what they want, or says  "nah, not what I was looking for".  Or is there something you know that means I should take a further look at them?

Not really anything of major concern. Some on-train WiFi terminates at a PoP in Norway. Specifically GreaterAnglia/Stansted Express using the Telenor Network.
