We must remember that the resignation was due to differences regarding Brexit, and nothing to do with transport policy (except VERY indirectly in so far as Brexit might affect international transport)

I therefore do not expect any changes to transport policy as a result of this departure.

Absolutely right!

Is this a deliberate change in management style at the DfT» (Department for Transport - about), or a reflection of the competences and characters of the players?

It is political jockeying for position for the inevitable vacancy at No 10.  Currently in Westminster there is no "for the greater good" its all about and this effects most if not all the senior rolls in all the parties they are becoming self centred and obsessed in their future hiding behind the pretence what they are doing is in the Nations interest.

Are you suggesting that Chris Grayling might be playing to be seen, and playing something where a primary goal is to impress the party should he stand to lead that party?

Errrrrrrrrrrrrrrr  Grin may be not leader but would want to be seen to preserve a place in any future team.

Andrew Jones fills the gap left by Jo Johnson - I have split the topic so we're talking about the new minister at http://www.firstgreatwestern.info/coffeeshop/index.php?topic=20666.0
