When I read the subject, thought some had an entire power car in thier garden, complete with working Paxman Valenta engine, to wake the neighbours town up.

Sat in a few single first class seats in the Pullman. No way of telling if this is one of them but there’s a fair chance!

Ditto.

A proper intercity train has a minimum of 8 coaches, gangwayed throughout, with first at one end, and a full sized buffet car between first and standard.
It has space for cycles, surfboards, luggage etc.
A 5 car DMU (Diesel Multiple Unit) is not a proper inter-city train. The 5+5 and 9 car DMUs are almost as bad.

Do you think the seat would be any saleable state if broadgage and I had?   Grin

I wonder if the reclining mechanism is in working order.   Towards the end there were a fair few where just as you went to take a sip of your drink the seat shot backwards!

Gosh, how many of these seats are there?

They must be from Mk3 coaching stock currently being broken up at various sites.

Adds new meaning to the phrase taking your work home with you. Yes and then straight onto eBay!

Funny how the asking price is what you pay for a full first class peak fare from a number of places to London except you don’t get to take the seat away with you.

I wouldn’t say no to one, but I’m not sure the wife would approve if one was to turn up.

No not that one but if you look at my profile picture the van in question is the same colour.
