Can you recognise these stations from their local area maps?

Please - just one each at first.   I haven't a clue how easy they will turn out to be!
Data is Open Mapping Project data.   North pointing upwards in every case - no funny rotations!

In a normal year, you might have caught a GWR (Great Western Railway) train from any of these, though there are four different station operators represented

1. TonyN - Marlow

2. eXPassenger - Paddington

3 looks like Kemble but with the original Cirencester and Tetbury branches in-situ.

Yes - the thin black lines are "disused", "abandoned" and "razed" in the database; other railway features are thickened.

I like this. Could name a few of them but for my "one each at first" it does, of course, have to be 6 - Charlbury.

It IS fun, isn't it!     Yes - Charlbury.   Setting them up, I am learning a lot about places!

No. 8 would be Melksham - mandatory if there's no Taunton?

Yes ... Havant and Melksham;  just numbers 5 and 10 remaining.

I find these maps fascinating - from seeing the lay of the land and catchments around stations to the tracks of old lines and the conversion to a cycle way like in Havant to where the underground runs under Paddington.  Very tempted to go have a look-see in some places that look interesting on the map when that's allowed once again.

Much easier  to put together than a "spot the difference" too!
