More on this in the links below.

Investment for Showcase 2 has been split between Bristol City Council , which gave ^5.5 million , and ^7.1 from First.

Meanwhile , Bristol's transport leader has promised congestion charging will not be brought in before alternative measures are in place (link below.)

Labour's Mark Bradshaw gave his assurances as he addressed the full council at the Council House yesterday.

He said: "We have no intention of introducing congestion charging in the city without the necessary public transport systems in place first."

Those systems could include four Bus Rapid Transit routes , extensive bus network improvement schemes , rail improvements , new park and rides and improved cyclist and pedestrian routes.

The West of England Partnership - an alliance of the four councils in the former Avon area - has mooted a daily congestion charge of ^4.

Conservative councillor Richard Eddy tabled a motion at the council meeting that called for "acceptable public transport alternatives" to be in place before a congestion charge is imposed.

I don't trainspot thank you very much. I was merley reporting what I saw - and if you have a problem with that then come and tell me at Trowbridge station!

So in future, I will try not to post what I see around - I will just sit in a corner and shut up!
