Was given this book at Christmas and just now finished reading it.
As a non-railway-person I found it an absolutely wonderful and enthralling read.
The front cover says "A train driver recalls his railway career".

Steve commenced working in Ebbw depot; fleetingly to Kings Cross, then served the remainder of his time at Westbury.
He describes his ascent through the ranks (and depots) plus adventures and misadventures.  The rights and wrongs of unions and management.

A really good read with 274 pages and a Glossary at the end. Grin

Apologies as this is not 'broadcast media' but not sure where to move to!

Should probably change the category from "Broadcast Media" to just "Media" ?    Thinking through implications - perhaps gives us somewhere to talk literature, newsletters and railway leaflets too?
