I'm afraid not.

9. Fishguard Harbour

Yes - a shadow of its former self.   Did the London Express really run from here?

This London / South West to Ireland is a broken route as far as through rail travel is concerned.

7. Barry.

Correct, and an excellent conclusion of our "Sunny Seaside Specials" even if some of the photos such as Barry and Blackpool were in the dark.   We have a knowledgable lot here!

Hope you enjoyed the competition and have perhaps seen some picture of new places - all (bar one) reachable by train.

Barry... and I've just spent the last hour scouring images of northern Wales coastal stations! Mind you, the whole exercise over the last few days has given me a few new "day out" ideas, so time well spent. 😊

Edit: Just realised this is my 1000th post. Is this a sign of a misspent middle age? 😀

Many thanks for the pictures. It's nice to test the memory and show that all of the Rail Rovers purchased over the years weren't wasted! I must admit to being stumped by several of the locations.
