16:58 Reading to Shalford due 17:47 will call additionally at Earley, Winnersh Triangle and Winnersh.
This is due to a fire next to the track.

16:14 Guildford to Reading due 16:49 has been delayed at Wokingham and is now 6 minutes late.
This is due to a train not stopping at a station it was supposed to earlier in its journey.

The first one is not unusual, though hard to fathom from that. It's more of a missing link than non-sequitur, though:

Incident created    07/08/2020 15:54
Last updated                   07/08/2020 16:42
Route affected    Between London Waterloo and Reading

TOC (Train Operating Company)(s) affected    South Western Railway;

Description

A fire next to the track at Longcross is causing disruption to South Western Railway trains to / from Reading.

Trains may be delayed, cancelled or revised until approxmately 20:00.

How will this affect my journey?

Trains will run between London Waterloo and Virginia Water and between Ascot and Reading only.

Alternative travel options:

Replacement road transport will be in operation from 17:15 between Virginia Water and Ascot.

You may use your ticket on Great Western Railway services between London Paddington and Reading and also between Basingstoke and Reading.

Your ticket will also be accepted on Reading Buses on routes 4 and X4.

The second one looks like some minor operational adjustment that didn't need to go public.

But the heading of the NRE(resolve) live train times for Wokingham is a real non-sequitur:

Service updates

The lifts are out of order until further notice.

South Western Railway trains to / from Reading may be cancelled, delayed or revised. More details can be found in Latest Travel News
