Pathfinder tour appears to have timings from Swindon to Westbury within a minute of the TransWilts service on Saturday 20th - pointed out to me yesterday evening at the MRDG» (Melksham Railway Development Group - about) (Melksham Railway Development Group) meeting.

http://www.pathfindertours.co.uk/index.php/event-list.html?day=20140920

The "Wiltshire Star" - free local paper - lists these times in an advert, but nothing about them being provisional.

So
a) Is the newspaper / published data wrong and the special will run before / after the TransWilts
b) The special will carry local TransWilts passengers (not at 89 pounds a ride, I hope!, and extra stop needed)
c) Will the TransWilts train be retimed

Real time trains simply shows regular TransWilts times for that day as yet ...

I think we've previously established that there are no intermediate signals, so no.

A quick check on Realtimetrains reveals that from next week the 2M52 departs Swindon at 08:48, not 08:36 as was the case up to today.
From 25th October it's back to 08:36.

You may also note that a special train is booked to pass Thingley East Junction at 1019 and Bradford Junction at 1032 on the same day.  It is the Cotswold Line Promotion Group's HST (High Speed Train) charter train from Worcester S H to Plymouth.  It returns via Bristol and Bath Spa.

OK ... perfect timing ....  Grin

Yes ... my error (and earlier in the thread).   For about 6 weeks there are time changes, and indeed the Pathfinder excursion is running at the time the TransWilts usually runs. The TransWilts already been put back 12 minutes later (from Swindon) and 18 minutes later into Westbury, missing onward connections ...
