I've seen screen messages about lack of disabled spaces and toilets at GWR (Great Western Railway) stations. These messages are often backed up by the public address system.

Agreed.  GWR seem pretty good at this kind of thing.  Maybe XC (Cross Country Trains (franchise)) is less good because they don't run their own stations and so have fewer staff "on the ground".

I'd have had that person ejected from the train frankly (she mentioned Virgin staff, assuming this then was one of their services(?), involving the BTP (British Transport Police) if necessary to get TGT on too.
