No comment other than worth a read of this blog (all 6 parts to the series to get the full story including owner responses)

http://publictransportexperience.blogspot.co.uk/2016/06/the-greyhound-and-fox-part-3.html

Although to be fair he did operate a free Boxing Day service a couple of years back, with a bus which was since repossessed by Wheelers, using an o-licence and legals of another company.

I saw the original posted thread here and as it was a company I'd not heard of before, thought I would look them up. I've found the City Fox Group ... http://www.cityfoxgroup.co.uk ... which tells us at http://www.cityfoxgroup.co.uk/cityfox-bus/4593140358 of a fleet of 7 vehicles and 10 staff.  It states "CityFox Bus provides private hire and event services in Bristol. It is CityFox's aim to expand into local commercial and contracted bus services."

Following a link on that page to their web site got me a domain name error - as is the site domain name isn't even registered, and asking the "whois" service confirmed that the domain's apparently available.

As a startup hoping to use a Christmas service for their launch, I could sort of understand this - however, the web page that quotes the URL (as does their Facebook page) states "CityFox Bus began in 2013. We were involved in the Bristol Greyhound (later Pier Buses) operation in Bristol. We since, have a number of buses that carry our private hire, rail replacement and event hire for private or public individuals. CityFox Bus is keen to expand its footprint by developing a network of local bus service in the Bristol and Bath markets."

I'm currently out of Europe and being caught by all sorts of UK (United Kingdom) spam traps, so it's possible that my experiences above are because I've been labelled as a spammer (don't know what my sister-in-law, who's connection I'm using, has been up to  Grin ) - so if anyone can clarify this as post god follow ups from the UK, that would be great. There's a number of bus enthusiasts in the Bristol area, so pictures of City Fox on the road shouldn't be too hard to find, and the community's a small one, so I invite those in the know including the City Fox team to follow up with more positive detail to help re-assure potential festive season passengers that a bus will turnip if they make their plans to rely on it.

Answering my own post ... ... www.cityfoxbus.com (not .co.uk) diverts to http://www.kernowfoxbus.co.uk

http://www.kernowfoxbus.co.uk/60-timetable/4593195926
http://www.kernowfoxbus.co.uk/60-whitchurch-to-broadmead/4593195778

And pictures of 2 vehicles - P401MLA and SF08RRO, the first in Diamond, First (London red) and Heathrow Fast colours, and the second as FerryHill Motors on loan to StageCoach, Whitelaws and Wheelers - at one point in their red but with "City Fox" branding which is normally blue.   The Christmas day and boxing day timetable (which is the only two days the service is advertised for) requires just a single vehicle.

SF08RRO was repossessed, P401MLA doesn't comply with disability/accessibility regs.

Elsewhere they're quoted having over 40 vehicles, somewhere else over 100 vehicles. .
Contacts in Bristol have suggested yes he has hackney vehicles- 3 are known to exist and work from temple meads. Is there anyway of checking Bristol taxi licences online?

Last years revenue recorded as £64k on company house submissions, that's total revenue not profit. That's not much more than £100 per month per vehicle if working on 40 vehicles. Looks realistic for the 3 vehicles sighted st Temple Meads.
