Was told it was a TCF (Track Circuit Failure).

Thank goodness for the abbreviations page on here, if it wasn't for that I would have thought you were talking about the BBC» (British Broadcasting Corporation - home page) test card! ("Test Card F" - sometimes shortened to TCF (Track Circuit Failure)Cheesy

Absolutely nothing to do with this:

If you're sad, like me, then you can read about the fascinating (er, hmm) history of the BBC» (British Broadcasting Corporation - home page) Test Card F here.

Otherwise, TCF (Track Circuit Failure) = Track Circuit Failure.  Wink Roll Eyes Grin

Oh don't worry, I'm already an anorak when it comes to stuff like TV and radio  Grin I even knew that Test Card F is now Test Card J (at least on analogue TV!)

If you're feeling nostalgic, you can watch Testcard W on most freeview TV's by pressing a few buttons on your remote control.

Just read this thread about 5 minutes ago and followed the instructions.  After which a friend just came to my front door, which I answered.  They came in and commented that I must have a very fun and eventful life if I enjoy watching the BBC» (British Broadcasting Corporation - home page) test card  Embarrassed
