I do hope there are new train on the line for next franchise, a 7 year newer train is no upgrade in technology, i’m many ways is a downgrade on the interior side. More reservations, more seats (that are comfortable) and better seating patterns.

Why not run the M2 service in an alternating loop around the city centre?
Why not split proposed the very long M1 route into M1 and M4 and increase the service frequency of these two routes?
The road surface is two grey for the precious bus to run over.

Thank you for the link. I was surprised at the small amount of Thames Valley Passengers it mentions did not specify their location or did not do the survey. They probably have been hit lucky with 8 car electric trains, but the reliability down there isn’t too great. I took part in the survey and commented on InterCity and West services. West seems to be more unreliable st the moment, however, sunday service on HSS▸ isn’t exactly amazing. I mentioned about missing out stops for more direct services (ie Gloucester Cheltenham) which could reduce up to 15 minutes off the current timings, however, catering for Gloucester at the same time.

Journey by Journey / Bristol (WECA) Commuters / Re: Another Bristol Parkway Closure - for three weeks
|

With this three-week closure approaching, I have now looked into my travel options.
The train I currently use is the 0624, Bristol Parkay to Penzance, (for Temple Meads) which for these three weeks will start at 0628 from Filton Abbey Wood. Sonds good, but how do I get to Filton Abbey Wood for 0625?
The bus services from Bristol Parkway start at 0640, so not good.
No cycle access weith the current building of Platform 4 and four tracking.
No bus service to Filton Abbey Wood, but a 10 minute walk from Abbey Wood retail park park.
So, it looks as if I'll have to get a bus ticket each day.
It's a real shame, Bristol Parkway, whilst shut, will still have excellent Cycle racks and 1900 parking spaces, probably more than all other rail stations in Bristol area put together!
Why couldn't GWR▸ run an earlier bus to Filton Abbey Wood in the morning, and allow more people to easily get to Temple Meads for work and connections.
Oh well, it’s not for that long. Oh wait, have fun during Four Track Filton!

Cheltenham racecourse is not just served by Cheltenham Spa. There is a Cheltenham Racecourse station although the thing is, that's part of the Glos Warks Steam Railway but is very handy for the race days if you live in Toddington or Broadway now.😀
Definitely a nice ride as well. Cheltenham has had the same system for years now and I’m surprised that some of the shuttles do not leave from Gloucester, exiting the station there is less traffic, then up to the M5 it would not be as long.
