I have to be to travel from Thatcham to Barry Docks on the above date.

My understanding is that , according to the timetable , I should be able to get there for about 930 (929 to be exact!).

We know that there are major engineering works over the Easter break and I guess what I am looking for is someone with a crystal ball to tell me what they think services are going to be like on the 13th Smiley

The reality is that I can save a lot of money by booking in advance ..or should I go by car Smiley

Well the 13th is when everything SHOULD come together, both the feeder lines and the Festival line will be fully operational. I'm looking myself at doing these lines early in the morning, if not then maybe taking pictures of services around the West of Reading area.

Personally I would probably catch the 06:14 (instead of 06:37) from Thatcham, just as an extra security measure. (Also you would be on only the 2nd passenger service using the Up Feeder Main)

...........I salute your courage & wish you all the best, especially after the overruns/chaos which seem almost inevitable after all major engineering efforts.......I'm sure however that all the lessons will have been learned after the last one (Christmas?) as we were assured they would be and everything will run smoothly this time........... Undecided
