1159  Journey by Journey / Portsmouth to Cardiff / Re: Extra Services for Dean and Mottisfont & Dunbridge on: November 14, 2008, 22:01:13
in the 1960s they had an hourly service provided by the Salisbury to Portsmouth semi-fast.
1160  Journey by Journey / London to the West / Re: South West Trains Seat Reservations - West Of England on: November 07, 2008, 17:38:40
Another problem seems to be the somewhat random way in which Salibury depot labels the coaches.  When I travel from Trowbridge to Waterloo my reservation is always in a coach which doesn;t exist on the train.  I have also seen trains arriveing at Salisbury with two coach D!

1169  Journey by Journey / TransWilts line / Re: Bradford Junction on: April 11, 2008, 18:17:48
As part of the resignalling a reversing facility was provided at Bradford South Junction which still enables trains to run from Bath to Chippenham via Bradford Junction (rev).  The north curve was therefore redundant and the costs were lower.
