13:00 London Paddington to Plymouth due 16:55 will be delayed between Reading and Didcot Parkway by 9 minutes, will be further delayed at Chippenham and is expected to be 16 minutes late.
This is due to a speed restriction over an embankment.

From Cornwall Live

Quote
There was mass disruption in the centre of Newquay on Tuesday (september 18) after a man walked into a police station with a hand grenade.

The bomb squad were called in as the police station and neighbouring train station were sealed off by officers. The police station was evacuated.

The incident caused disruption to train services running though the town with bomb disposal experts not arriving on scene until several hours later.

Maybe an alternative way of reporting the train overshot the station platform.

I can recall being on a slam door train many years ago from Paddington that overshot / forgot to stop at Acton Main Line. The train came to a halt shortly after and then reversed back to Acton ML. I'm not sure that would be an acceptable practice today.
