In the last three weeks I've been pretty impressed by how punctual my trains have been...

I get the 9.03 Maidenhead to Paddington in the morning and that has been faultless.. I always get a seat as it's slightly late in the rush hour and it's always been on time...

I generally get the 18.33 home, or the 18.18 if I'm a bit bad and leave work earlier than I should..

The 18.33 has been an intercity practically all of the time.. I don't tend to try and get a seat as there are so many people who like to sit on the outside of the two seats and I can't be bothered to move them for a 20 minute journey.. However, since it's such a short journey, I don't mind standing. And apart from the first couple of days it's not been horrendously overcrowded..

The day I got the 18.18 departure it was a turbo but a nice 6 carriage one so lots of room for everyone.. Well I was still standing as were lots of other people  but we all had room to breathe which is all I ask for..

So well done FGW (First Great Western).. lots more of the same please  Smiley

And the flip side of the coin was the 18:45 Paddington-Reading which was a 2-car tonight.  Ouch!
