Katie Hopkins had to be rushed to hospital after being treated by paramedics at a train station.

The reality TV star was left in agony after dislocating her shoulder while carrying a suitcase onto the platform.

She had to be given emergency gas and air inside Paddington, west London, before being taken to nearby St Mary’s Hospital.

Katie’s husband Mark Cross told the Sunday Mirror: “This is a legacy from her years with epilepsy.

“The staff at St Mary’s were brilliant and managed to get her patched up in a couple of hours.”

Katie Hopkins had to be rushed to hospital after being treated by paramedics at a train station.

The reality TV star was left in agony after dislocating her shoulder while carrying a suitcase onto the platform.

I'm certainly not a fan but as someone who has dislocated the same shoulder on two different occasions on the rugby field, I do sympathise - the pain is something beyond belief, and a Doctor told me that a hip or shoulder dislocation is the closest a man will ever come to knowing the level of pain experienced in childbirth!

I'm going off at just a bit of a tangent here, but I was reminded, reading the above posts, of the following anecdote:

Rugby player, in a hospital casualty department, shouting out in pain at the relocation of his shoulder blade.

Nurse admonishes him, saying "There's a lady over there who's just given birth to a baby - without half so much screaming!"

Rugby player: "Yes, but you try shoving it back where it was and see what reaction you get!"

Me neither!

Still not as big an insult in my opinion as when, just after I moved to Bristol in September 1977, I watched the local news on the telly. The story was that Bristol folk didn't have much idea of world history, so HTV rocked up to East Street Bedminster, a mere giro's throw from where I was newly installed at work, to debunk the theory.

They picked on this very elderly (possibly even over 50) couple in traditional dress. She wore a turban hat and a check worsted coat, he had a cap on. "Tell me sir," asked the interviewer. "Who is Neil Armstrong?" Our man furrowed his brow.

"Wait a minute," he said, "I got 'un. E'm to play the trumpate, innum?"
