Its been rather quiet on here today, guess most commuters still off :>

However for those trying to make long distance journies after the xmas period or to just hit the 'sales' today in Cornwall has been a complete and utter shambles...

Cancelled (traincrew):
14:41 Plymouth to Penzance.
14:32 Truro to Falmouth.
14:58 Falmouth to Truro.
16:27 Truro to Falmouth.
16:56 Falmouth to Truro.
16:44 Penzance to Exeter St.Davids.

Also:
06:47 Bristol TM(resolve) to Penzance, cancelled through Cornwall.
11:40 Penzance to Exeter started Par.
12:44 Plymouth to Penzance, failed Par, engine isolated, 20 late.

Services PAD» (Paddington (London) - next trains) to/from Kernow have been the normal, ie, late running.

09:05 PAD to PLY» (Plymouth - next trains), caped EXD» (Exeter St Davids - next trains).
12:55 PLY to PAD, started EXD.
15:00 PLY to PAD, caped RDG(resolve).

All in all from what I've seen today, its been mega busy, but, the service is just the normal shambles with peak hour trains from Plymouth/Truro running mega late/cancelled thus leading to mega overcrowding and yet more bad image for FGW (First Great Western). Lets hope the new year really does improve coz most staff who were back at work today are completely pi**ed off after two days off and coming back to complete and utter bedlam. When will it end we ask........? The answer to that would be 'not very soon', drivers rest day ban next week yay!!

It seems that Cornwall is suffering more than its fair share of delays and cancellations of late. Whereas when we have cancellations on Bristol area services there will be another service along in half an hour or so time, down in Cornwall services arent as frequent so when a service is canned it is really is a nuisance.
