Hi All,

Just booked a ticket from Berlin to London with a stopover in Hamburg for model railway and Dusseldorf to ride the Wuppertal monorail and I was able with reservation to get the ticket for 74 Euros, my bank is showing £66.13. A bargain even with a poor exchange rate.

I suppose the nearest we have is rovers.

Not able to get a ticket from London to Cardiff yet the advance are not out for travel on 7th January 2017, will wait a couple more days then its Mega Bus or National Express or thinking of staying in London and travelling down on Flybe for £36 on the Sunday at moment.

Hi All,

Might give this a try all I need is a reason to go up to London, had a quick look and on a couple of weekends it only works out £4 more than a GWR (Great Western Railway) return, must have the larger plane in use and spare seats. Even during the week there are some cheap fares. Have a look at month view.

Hi Rogerw

Yes had to Google your answer and that's what I went over.

Bmbibzz yep by Steel works Newport

Chrisr-75  That was the next station we stopped at.

Caught a GWR (Great Western Railway) train from Cardiff to Bristol Temple Meads and noticed after Newport we were going slow and appeared to deviate off normal lines, just managed to get my phone out. Have also a few years back went over this in an HST (High Speed Train)

41  All across the Great Western territory / Fare's Fair / Cardiff to Windsor advice on: July 07, 2016, 08:44:18
Hi All,

Promised to meet a friend at LEGOLAND on Tuesday, looking at trains from Cardiff to Windsor return.

Would like to have some flexibility but the price of £211.00 return from Cardiff in morning to arrive at Park about 10.00 is expensive for a day trip.

Have looked an I think this is the cheapest but your advice is welcomed

Cardiff to Swindon return 33.10

Swindon to Didcott Single 22.20
Didcot to Swindon  Single 10.00

Didcott to Windsor  return 17.30

Total £82.60

Many thanks

Well I agree it should be sorted, have notice on my travels a few times signs at points where there are passing places that say engine to be switched off after 5 min's or at junctions around Newport.  Five hours does seem extreme.
43  All across the Great Western territory / Across the West / Weymouth idling trains leave 'horrendous smell' on: June 21, 2016, 08:53:33
Hi All,

On BBC» (British Broadcasting Corporation - home page)

Weymouth idling trains leave 'horrendous smell'

Noise, fumes and the "horrendous smell" of idling diesel trains are blighting the lives of people in a seaside town.

Residents of Princes Drive in Weymouth, whose gardens back on to the mainline to London Waterloo, said trains stop with their engines running for up to five hours on Saturdays.

They said their weekend noise nightmare started last year

Hi all,
Didn't receive the email , might have taking up the offer , due to arrive Gatwick at about 2 on Sunday and about 11 weeks ago bought a split advance via Swindon through Paddington.

Was thinking of staying over in London till Monday when I found out that england was playing Wales .

Seems like it going to be quite, there are plenty of tickets up for sale for the game.

Question for the person more informed than me ?

My advance on Sunday has reservations for trains from Padd. but not from Gatwick, if plane arrives ontime and I clear customs , could I catch an earlier train to have a beer in the city.
