Thanks Phil, I did use TweakUI back in 1998 on Windows 95 but did not know there was a version for Windows XP.

Just get a mac! Wink

I switched and would never swich back....

Ahhh - no pestering messages about updates to be installed, no shields which say "your computer may be at risk", no paperclips, cats, dogs etc which ask you "if you are writing a letter" (which is really encouraging since in proper English it should be "whether you are writing a letter"!).

And best of all - NO VISTA! Grin

I can't justify spending ^1500 on a laptop!!!!

Even if I had a mac I'd still need windows! Nothing wrong with vista for me. It's safe and does the job.

You don't need to spend ^1500!

Besides, that amount would still be worth it. Faster, safer, easier to use......

And as relex said - Vista is a (poor) clone of Mac OSX. If you like Vista, you'll LOVE Mac!

PS: You can run Windows apps on a Mac with parallels or bootcamp.

its not easy but you cn even run osx on a windows machine.... like i said not easy but if you are good with computers and have the time to play around it can be done, that way best of both worlds, the editing magnificence of a mac along with the versatility of a pc... just chose which os you want to use when you boot up not ideal but it works

long and short if you have money buy a mac if you have a decent pc get vista if you have an old pc and no money stick with xp!
